The CEESOK committee is pleased to announce the 18th CEESOK (Central and Eastern European Society of Koreanologists) conference for professors and scholars, hosted by the Institute of Humanities at Mykolas Romeris University, Vilnius, Lithuania.
The topic of this year’s conference is New Voices in Korean Studies from the Baltic States, Central and Eastern Europe. The 18th International CEESOK conference in Vilnius seeks to assemble the spread of research ideas in broader geographies with a more active inclusion of Baltic States University communities, and new and emerging fields of research associated with Korean studies in Central and Eastern Europe. The conference seeks to attract more diverse scholars in different areas of interest ranging from politics, economy, law to philosophy, languages and culture studies.
The 18th International Conference of CEESOK will provide a forum for researchers working in the following areas with the emphasis on Korean Studies.
- Modern Korean society and its reflection in European contexts
- Sustainability of tradition and contemporary Korean culture
- New readings of philosophy and religions of Korea
- Advances in Korean linguistics and language education
- Reflections of global ecology issues in Korean studies
